Love your body. For that body is the only one you will ever have and every imperfection is perfect, because it is you!
I have scars. I have stretch marks. I have a muffin top. I have dimples. I have a c-section “shelf”. I have veins. I have thighs that touch. I have flabby arms. I have acne here and there. I have burn scars on my hands. I have a belly button that droops. I have loose skin.
But repeat after me… YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
I also carried two children and had two c-sections. I have had numerous surgeries and am a lupus warrior. I lost 100 pounds in 10 months and became a healthier me. I learned to love my body for itself. When you look in the mirror, what is the first thing you think of?
For me, no matter the imperfections, I am happy. I am happy even though I’m not exactly where I want to be. I am happy for the fact my body has carried me through all it has. I am happy because I have carried two healthy babies. In today’s world we try to not body shame, but we still do. No matter if it is skinny shaming, fat shaming, mom shaming, or dad shaming. It is the little comments that beat us up the most. Even I am guilty from time to time without even know it it. But let’s stand together and rise. Let us not be ashamed of who we are but instead embrace ourselves. Love our bodies for what they are and never regret wearing that little summer dress or short shorts. You are beautiful inside and out, don’t ever let someone believe other wise.
Xoxo
