Did you know you can step foot on the exact center of California? How cool right!
During our trip to the Oakhurst and Bass Lake, California area this past weekend, we took a quick detour trip to find the exact center of California. Located just a little bit out of North Fork, California, this special place has a plaque and stunning views!
The road has some pot holes and is a little windy through the foothills, but you drive along until you come up to an area with a small parking spot. Hop out and see a sign that says “CAL CENTER”. To the side there are wood steps leading up the hill. It’s a short few steps up before you reach the monument and location of the exact center of California. It even shows the exact center coordinates! Snap some photos and soak in the beautiful views.
