Happy 5th Birthday to Macyn

When I say it is crazy to think that today is my sons 5th birthday, I mean it! I remember it like it was just year I was getting admitted to the hospital to begin pitocin and our induction. I was only 18 years old and even though I was nervous, I was so excited to meet my little boy. The little boy that had changed my entire life, more than I had even realized just yet. It wouldn’t be until the following night, 20 minutes aft 8pm, that we would finally meet him after an emergency c-section. It is still to this day the most painful day of my life after many complications, but it was also the best day of my life. It was the day our little boy was born and gave me a purpose.

The last 5 years have been a journey to say the least. I have watched my little baby boy grow into a blonde hair, blue eyed little boy who is the tallest of his preschool class and who has the biggest, cutest dimple smile around. He befriends everyone he meets and has a passion for sports. Every time someone asks him what he wants to be when he grows up, he responds with “I want to be just like my daddy”. His favorite things to do are hike in the woods, go for rides in the truck with dad, spend time with his PawPaw, and play with his little sister. He is so smart and is excited to start kindergarten in the fall. He is so smart and I know he is is destined to do big things in his future.

I think one of the hardest things as a mother is watching your babies grow up because it is the true definition of bittersweet. I wish I could keep my little boy small forever, but I am so proud of the little man he is growing and maturing into. He has made me so proud to be his mother these last 5 years and I truly can’t imagine my life without him. The day he was born, this world became a whole lot brighter. He brings so much joy, happiness, and love into our life. I am so thankful to be his mother.

These last 5 years have been the best 5 years of my life with you Macyn. I hope you know how much you mean to your dad, sissy, and rest of the family. We love you so much! We wish you the best birthday bubbie.

Love

Mama
