Why, hello there 2021. I wanted to wish all of you a Happy New Year! Our family welcomed the new year at home and have enjoyed relaxing around the house the last week. The kids last day of winter break was Sunday and we are now back to regular programing. Although we are back to school and work, we have made an effort to go out to the woods and spend more time with each other. It truly has been the best way to welcome in a new year disconnecting a bit and spending family time.
I am determined to make this year a good one nonetheless! If there is one thing that 2020 taught me, it was to not take things for granted and to work hard. That truly is the only way to accomplish your goals. This year I don’t have a long list of goals. Instead just a few. I feel as though even if this year may not be what we had hoped for, a quick fix or a snap of the finger back to normalcy, perhaps a year we can grow as individuals, community, and world. This year I hope to be more present. To be present with myself, family, and community. 2020 definitely had its struggles, but I learned that too often I am not present enough.
Among continuing my health goals and reaching some goals with writing and blogging, I think my biggest goal this year is to work on what happiness truly means for me. I find so often I compare what happiness means for others or feel as though if I don’t have certain things, my happiness is not there. It is a fault of mine and I am determined to make it happen.
No matter what this year has in store, I know that if we put our minds to it, this year can and will be better than 2020.
Find the good.
Be the good.
Xoxo
