Can you believe that it is already February? I feel like I say this every year but this year really is flying by. January went by in a breeze and we already have February upon us. I am sure you all have noticed I haven’t been as active on my blog due to the busyness of December and recovering from the holidays. I am back though! Starting next week I will get back on schedule with my Monday and Wednesday blogs I promise. With that being said, February is no doubt one of my favorite months just because we also have so many exciting things going on! Birthdays, travel, Valentines Day, and more. This year February is extra jam packed and I can barely contain my excitement. After the busy holidays, we took a break from traveling and have had some much needed down time around the house. Family days around the house have been so nice and I’ve been able to take a little bit of a breath after a busy quarter with work. So as we say goodbye to the first month of 2020, let enjoy February and make it the best month yet! Here is what exciting things our family has planned this month…
Macyn’s 4th birthday.
I can’t believe I just wrote that, how is my oldest about to be 4? Macyn turns 4 on Monday February 3rd and I am going to be in disbelief until then. He is so excited to have a PJ Masks cake and pizza plus we have a little surprise for him this weekend! He has grown up so much this past year and even though as a mom sometimes kids getting older is hard, I could not be more proud of the little boy he has become. He is loving, courageous, outgoing, and tall just like his daddy.
Fun family adventures.
This weekend in honor of Macyn’s birthday, we are heading to San Francisco to go to the zoo, beach, and (fingers crossed) a few tourists locations. It’s going to be a blast! This year we made the decision that instead of giving the kids gifts for holidays, we will be giving activities, fun things to do, and most importantly, memories. I’ll share more this coming week on why we made that decision!
My 23rd birthday on Valentine’s Day.
Yes, my birthday is on Valentine’s Day! This year I will be 23. If you have followed me for a hot minute on Instagram or read my blogs, you know that each of our kids share a birthday month with us. Macyn and I share a birthday month and McKynleigh and daddy share a birthday month. It makes for easy remembering and family fun! 22 has been an amazing year but I’m so excited to see what 23 has in store.
Matthew and I will be celebrating our 5 year dating anniversary.
On February 15th Matthew and I will have officially hit 5 years since we first began dating. Honestly, this is huge for us and I am so thankful to be able to say WE MADE IT after so many people thought we wouldn’t last. Instead, we are stronger than ever.
Last but not least….
I am flying across the country to meet one of my Instagram best friends!
I promise I am not crazy! For my 23rd birthday, Matthew surprised me with a trip of a lifetime to meet/see one of my closest friends that I met on Instagram. We have been talking about this trip for over a year but it just never happened. Matthew will have the kids and I am hitting the road(or plane in this case). I am beyond ecstatic! Shout out to my amazing husband for planning this without me knowing till after.
February is sure to be a good month and I am excited to share more with you all! I hope January treated you well and even if it didn’t, February is a new month.
