This past weekend I had the joy of surprising my husband with an early birthday getaway to Reno, and let me tell you, it was a weekend we’ll never forget! This was our first time exploring Reno, and it turned out to be the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and celebration. Brunch Like a King at Toucan Charlie’s
After a restful night Friday, we kicked off our first full day with brunch at Toucan Charlie’s. This buffet is a food lover’s dream! With an incredible variety of options, from fresh seafood to decadent desserts, we indulged like it was our birthday too. The atmosphere was lively, and we loved the idea of sampling a bit of everything.
Strolling Down Virginia Street
With our bellies full, we headed out to explore Virginia Street. Taking a leisurely stroll along the river walk was the perfect way to soak in Reno’s vibrant atmosphere. We admired the local art installations and enjoyed the energetic vibe of the area. It was wonderful to see families, artists, and tourists all enjoying the sunshine together.
Evening Entertainment: A Must-See Show
When the sun started to set, we made our way to The Laugh Factory for some live entertainment. Laughter is the best medicine, and we enjoyed an evening filled with hilarious stand-up performances. If you’re looking to brighten your night, this is definitely the place to be!
Dinner at Bistro Napa
After all that laughter, we headed to Bistro Napa for dinner. The menu featured mouthwatering dishes made with local ingredients, and the cozy setting was perfect for a romantic evening. We savored every bite and appreciated the incredible flavors—definitely a highlight of our trip!
A Weekend to Remember
Reno has so much to offer, and our getaway was just the beginning of what I’m sure will be many future visits. From luxurious accommodations to delicious dining and vibrant entertainment, we felt like we were living the good life.
