This past week marked an incredibly special milestone in our lives — our dating anniversary. Ten years ago, the day after my 18th birthday, Matthew asked me to be his girlfriend. Little did I know back then how quickly I would fall in love or just how much he would come to mean to me. It was the beginning of a journey I will forever cherish.
Looking back, I can’t help but smile at everything we’ve shared: welcoming our son into the world, moving to a new state, getting married, and then completing our family with our beautiful daughter. We’ve worked hard together, bought our first home, and made countless memories traveling.
Every single day spent with him has been the best day of my life.
Our dating anniversary holds just as much meaning to me as our wedding anniversary because it marks the day my life truly began. You saved me in so many ways, teaching me what unconditional love really is. You’ve been my rock, standing by my side through some of my darkest moments, reminding me that love truly exists in this world.
Thank you, Matthew, for sliding into my DMs all those years ago and asking me to be your girlfriend. I wouldn’t want to spend this incredible life with anyone else. Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and beautiful memories together. Happy anniversary, my love.
