As we step into 2025, I’m feeling a sense of excitement and optimism that I can’t quite put into words. Reflecting on 2024, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible memories we created. The year helped heal me in ways I didn’t think were possible after the challenges of 2023. If I’m being honest, I was nervous about what 2024 would bring, especially after such a difficult year. But 2024 proved me wrong—beautifully so.
We laughed together, explored new places, and spent more time as a family than ever before. From sharing tacos in San Diego to cheering on the kids at their sports games, to taking that long-awaited road trip with my dad, every moment was a reminder of just how precious life is. And finally, ticking Leavenworth off my bucket list was a dream come true! It was a year of joy, adventure, and reconnection.
2024 wasn’t just about what we did, though—it was about who we became. It marked the biggest year yet in my journey as a content creator. I landed opportunities I never imagined possible, and none of that would have been possible without the unwavering support from all of you. With over 60,000 new faces joining this space, I feel incredibly lucky and deeply grateful. I truly could not have done this without you, and I am so excited to see what 2025 holds for all of us!
This year has also been a pivotal time for focusing on self-love and self-care. In the past, I’d often push my own needs to the backburner, but after a few years of personal growth, I’ve made a commitment to prioritize my own well-being. Here are five self-love and self-care practices I’m embracing as I enter 2025:
- Daily Journaling: Writing has become my sanctuary. I start each day by jotting down my thoughts, intentions, and things I’m grateful for. It helps me center myself and gives me a moment of reflection amidst the busyness of life.
- Rest and Recharge: I’ve learned that it’s okay to say no and take time for myself. Whether it’s a quiet evening with a good book or simply taking a nap when I need it, I’m giving myself permission to rest without guilt.
- Mindful Movement: Exercise is no longer about punishing my body but about honoring it. I’ve been exploring new ways to move that feel nourishing—yoga, stretching, and long walks have become my go-to practices for physical and mental wellness. And of course weights because your girl can’t live without lifting.
- Setting Boundaries: I’ve gotten better at setting healthy boundaries, both in my personal and professional life. Saying “no” when needed has allowed me to protect my energy and focus on what truly matters.
- Nourishing My Body: I’m making more intentional choices about what I eat, making sure it fuels me both physically and emotionally. I’ve been experimenting with new recipes and focusing on whole, nourishing foods that are protein packed and less processed.
As I enter 2025, I’m reflecting on how far we’ve come, but also on the immense potential that lies ahead. I’m ready to embrace this new year with open arms—eager to keep growing, learning, and experiencing new adventures, both big and small.
