Sunatoria Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening Powder

I decided to hop on the bandwagon and try a charcoal teething whitener paste. As a few of you may know activated charcoal has many benefits from helping aid in weightloss, detoxing, heart heath, and GI track heath. I have tried charcoal lemonades and honestly been a huge fan of them so why not give it a shot with my teeth! I ordered the Sunatoria Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening Powder off of Amazon for $16.92 which is affordable compared to other charcoal paste brands but also not a super cheap option if you are like us and budget. It comes in 2 oz container and is all natural, which is a huge plus for me.

Now I have used a few other products and seen okay results so I was a bit skeptical. I drink a lot of teas and coffee, and I’ll be honest when I admit I could tell over the past few months my teeth weren’t as white. The product arrived and I started using it for a week and a half. Here’s what I got for you…

Pros

The directions are super simple and easy to follow. Wet your toothbrush bristols a bit then light dip into the powder. I learned very quickly that a little goes a long way. Brush good for 2 minutes and the rinse out. It will take a bit longer to get the charcoal all out but I was surprised to see a slight difference after two days of using it. I also liked the fact that it didn’t leave a nasty after taste like a lot of toothpastes and whitening pastes. It has clean ingredients including coconut charcoal, orange seed oil, and coconut oil. It is enamel safe as well! If used correctly, this powder will last longer than your typical toothpaste which also made the $16.92 feel a bit more ideal compared to more affordable brands.

Cons

It is going to get messy, be careful. I wasn’t too smart and the first day I used it, I had on a creme sweater. When the charcoal gets wet, it leaves dots and my sweater got a little ruined due to that. I suggest wearing an old t-shirt that you don’t care much about. To add on, when brushing it won’t be as thick as typical toothpaste meaning be careful to your environment and face. The taste isn’t amazing but also not horrible. When rinsing our, it takes a bit more time to get it all cleaned out. Other brand reviews talked of a black tongue, mine was better after brush off.

All in all, I am pretty impressed. Even with it being a little messy, I thought it was a good product and worth the money. My teeth have began to look more. My teeth also don’t ache much as they were, not sure if that’s related but all in all a huge plus. I will continue to use it and even got my husband started on it.

Has anyone ever tried a Activated Charcoal paste? Did you like or dislike it?
